My name is Jen, and I guess you can call me a bit of a jock. I participated in volleyball, track and field, and martial arts in high school. In the fall, I always looked forward to hunting trips with my dad. This blog is about my experiences with sport pursuits.
Most people don't believe me when I tell them that I enjoy hunting. After all, it's a stereotypically masculine thing to do, and I'm not exactly what you would call a “hick.”
Childhood memories aside, I enjoy the thrill of the hunt. Tracking and camouflage are exhilarating, even if you have to move painfully slow or stay still for hours. Recently I've taken up bow hunting. It's a lot harder than using a gun, but it's much more satisfactory when you make your kill. It also makes for a great story around the dinner table.
Though hunting is a rewarding and thrilling sport, remember to never take more than you plan to eat. With that in mind, happy hunting!
